Search Engine Optimization (SEO) means making your website useful and technically solid so search engines like Google and Bing can find it.
A close relative is AI Optimization (AIO) which means focusing your website's structure on being cited or directly answering in AI-generated responses.
Both of the above are “on-page” optimization, and every AgentWebsite plan includes on-page SEO and AIO automatically.
There’s another side to optimization that’s just as important as on-page: getting links to your website from other websites. These are called “back-links.”
Each back-link is like a vote for your site. The more votes you have, the easier it is for your site to show up higher in search results. Make sure to add your link to the sites listed here.
Here's a true real estate story about back-links:
In the early 2000s, real estate agents and brokers used SEO to get their websites to show up high in search results. Then Zillow offered a “badge” that agents could place on their sites.
The badge was really a link back to Zillow. Each link worked like a vote for Zillow’s website instead of the agent’s. The more back-links Zillow got, the higher it ranked in search results.
Because so many agents added that badge, Zillow collected thousands of links and ended up outranking individual agents. That’s a big reason why Zillow still shows up first today.
