Your Website : Post To Instagram From Your Computer

Updated more than a week ago

This guide is written for real estate agents who want to share listing photos, market updates, or open house announcements from a desktop or laptop, no phone required.

Step-by-Step

  1. Open instagram.com and log in to your business or creator account.

  2. On the click, select + Create, then click Post to start a new post.

  3. Choose Select from computer, then pick your listing photo, market graphic, or open house image from your files.

  4. After the image is selected, click Next, apply a filter or adjustment as needed, and click Next again.

  5. Edit (optional)

You can crop and apply basic filters. If you prefer your MLS-quality edits, you can skip filters and post as-is.

  6. Add your caption, people, and location.

Write a clear caption and add a location (neighborhood or city). Tag anyone relevant (e.g., co-listing agent, stager, photographer if required).

    • Caption tip for listings: Beds, baths, key features, neighborhood, and a clear call to action (e.g., “DM for details” or “See link in bio”).
    • Hashtags: Use local and niche tags (e.g., #CameronParkRealEstate, #OpenHouse, #YourBrokerageName).
  7. Review Advanced settings.

Choose where to share, adjust commenting if needed, and confirm any cross-posting options. You can edit the caption or location later if something changes.

  8. Click Share

Publish your post. After posting, check it on your phone if you want to verify how it looks on mobile.

Agent Tips

  • Links: Captions don’t allow clickable links. Put your listing or lead-capture URL in your profile bio and say “link in bio” in the caption.
  • Stories & Reels: For clickable links, use a Story with a link sticker. Reels captions also don’t support clickable links.
  • Compliance: Include brokerage name and any state-required disclosures in your profile or caption as applicable.
  • Image quality: Start with high-resolution photos. Vertical crops often perform well on mobile.
  • Post ideas: New listing highlights, open house dates/times, price improvements, just sold, neighborhood spotlights, market stats.

FAQ

Can I post videos or Reels from desktop?

 - Yes, you can upload videos from the web interface. Editing tools on desktop are simpler than the mobile app.

Where should I put my property URL?

 - Add it to your Instagram profile bio (or a bio landing page) and reference “link in bio” in the caption. For Stories, use the link sticker.
